London’s Nightlife: The Cow Dining Room

Located at 89 Westbourne Park Road, The Cow Dining Room is a one of its kind joint in London. Self-confessedly “a simple, intimate Dining room evocative of the forties with a little French charm”, this chic Tom Coran joint is a much acclaimed and accredited outlet immensely popular with the locals of Notting Hill and around.
Its menu boasts of a variety of meats and liquors, especially vintage wine and good, old fashioned whisky. Its winery boasts of Champagne Aubry, some great Henri Prudhon, Burgundy, Moreau-Naudet, Burgundy, Chablis and even a 2005 Puligny - Montrachet, Saint Aubin from France. The selection of red wine in self storage includes a 2006 Pinot Noir, Akarua, Otago from New Zealand and a 2004 Gigondas, Montirius from France. The pub offers a good selection of draught lager including Pilsner, Red Stripe, Becks Vier, Hoegaarden, and De Konick. Bottles of Becks, Peroni, Budvar, Leffe, Chimay, Westmalle, Bellevue raspberry, Bellevue cherry and perfect pints of Guinness are also on the menu.
Of course, sea food is its forte and the joint is particularly famous for its oysters, prawns and shrimps. The restaurant is two-tiered with the ground floor a free-for-all pub and the upper one available through reservations only and is easily accessible by the Tube. A great place for those looking for a unique fine dining experience in London, the Cow Dining Room is definitely a must visit!
