London - As Eclectic As It Gets!

Food is as an integral part of a city’s experience as are its sights and sounds. Here we bring you a list of our favorite places to dine at while in London!

As many online reviewers attest, Café Helen can justifiably be regarded as an all out kebab dream. It may be small and jam packed and it may not have any seating worth its name, but its kebabs and shawarmas are reckoned by one and all as some of the best to be had in all of London. No wonder then that Helen is a bit choosy about its timings and besides being closed on Tuesdays it’s usually shut during the day time all other days of the week.

Situated in the basement of an 18th century building, Polpo London is a quaint little addition to the teeming galaxy of Soho’s cult and theme restaurants and pubs. Styled as a Venetian bacaro, Polpo’s menu shows everywhere the unique touch of Chef Tom Oldroyd’s creative spirit, as if everything has been rightly created with the help of hairdressing scissors, along with such Venetian classics as cicheti. There are also breads, meats, fishes and, not to forget, an enticing wine list featuring contemporary classics from four of the good importers in currency today. Polpo is open all seven days of the week and also takes reservations for private events.

The Real Greek chain of restaurants promises to provide patrons “an extraordinary, Mediterranean dining experience complemented with exceptional service in a relaxed atmosphere”. Opened in 1999, this Hoxton branch was the first of the chain and set benchmarks for the rest to follow. The trademark authentic Mezedes, Souvlakis and Sharers all started from here. It takes private reservations for events of up to 8 and 16 and is open from Mondays to Saturdays from 11:30 A.M. to 11:00 P.M. and on Sundays from 11:30 A.M. to 10:30 P.M.
